About

I needed to learn and be accustomed to different editors when designing my projects and so the task for this project was to create a game mode and level using the Fortnite editor. I had never used this editor before or played the game Fortnite so it involved a lot of research and getting to grips with what players were doing in Fortnite and how the game is played. There was a tight deadline to figure out the editor and what I could do with it and then design and create the level but it was good fun to learn new tools and create a genre I’d not engaged with before. In the end I created a platformer/collectathon catered towards a younger demographic. The players must use a vehicle called “the baller” to work their way around the level collecting coins and delving into soft puzzles using the vehicle.
